I grew up in Summit NJ as a young boy but my folks always took us to Seaside several times a summer and we would also rent a house that I believe is on Carteret & take a week long vacation every year. I actually recognize several of the old rides, in particular the roller coaster. My Aunt Wilma would spend her summers coming down to Seaside to work throughout the early seventies. My Uncle Scott Ruerup has now been living in Seaside for several years now. My kids & I are planning on enjoying Seaside this next summer( 2010) Thanks Again Terrific find, Thank You !! I am a transplant from up north, but as a kid, coming over the Seaside Heights bridge and seeing the ferris wheel, was the best part of my summer. Now I have been living at the shore for 27 years, and I still get that same feeling when I come over that big bridge and see that ferris wheel. Walking on the boardwalk and smelling the great food cooking, still brings back great memories. Can't wait for summer time....................... :) Even in the winter, with all this snow, Seaside Heights is still beautiful to me. I feel I left something there a part of me and i have to go back. It was the best time of my life the ocean on one side the bay on the other. I look everyday on the net to find the place i viisted why i was there just so i can go back for a few moments of that time makes me wonder if anyone else feels this way. We rented a house. i will do it again next summer for sure.
